Standard 600 (2711-): the rebuild case
Same story as the 550: PanelBuilder32 projects (.pba) don't convert, so the application is rebuilt by hand on the new platform. Rockwell's migration mapping sends the keypad and keypad-and-touch variants (K6C/B6C) to the 6.5″ Plus 7 Performance with adapter kit 2711P-RAAK7 for the cutout, and the touch-only T6C to the 6″ Plus 7 Standard with no adapter. Check the comms variant on the label — DH-485 and RS-232 units need the comms plan settled before you order hardware.
Plus 600 / Plus 6 600 (2711P-): the friendly case
Here the application survives: .mer projects carry forward to a Plus 7 with firmware and FactoryTalk View version care. If all you have is the .mer runtime and the original .apa archive is lost, recover it from the terminal before it dies completely. Component C600 (2711C-): the import case
The official successor is the PanelView 800 — Connected Components Workbench imports PanelView Component applications, screen sizes map one-to-one, and CCW is a free download. Of the three 600s, this is the one where migration is genuinely routine.
